Booking and scheduling platform

Online booking with real availability, deposits, reminders and calendar sync, built around one business's actual rules.

This is a representative example of a project type we take on — a typical situation, approach and scope — not a description of a specific client engagement. Timelines are indicative; yours will depend on the details.

The situation

Off-the-shelf booking tools handle the simple case well. They struggle when availability depends on staff skills, room or equipment constraints, travel time, or deposits that vary by service — which is when a business starts running a parallel spreadsheet.

How we approach it

  • Model the scheduling rules explicitly and test them against a month of real past bookings.
  • Handle time zones, daylight-saving changes and double-booking races from day one.
  • Take deposits and handle refunds and no-shows through Stripe.
  • Sync both ways with Google and Microsoft calendars.

What gets delivered

  • Public booking flow
  • Staff calendar and rules editor
  • Payments, reminders and rescheduling
  • Two-way calendar sync
